There was a time when I feared wearing dresses, skirts or shorts, basically anything that showed my legs (more about it in another blogpost). In the past two years, alot has changed including the fact that my wardrobe now has more number of dresses and skirts than pants! A dress makes me feel feminine and powerful at the same time. It allows me to be modest or not so modest; the choice is mine.
California winter is almost like fall which means a girl can still wear her dresses! 10000001 reason for loving this place even more! I am always looking for ways to style a piece of clothing in different ways by making subtle changes. This post is my attempt to show you guys how you can wear the same dress in slight variations and why floral is not just the print for summer..
First Look
I love ankle boots and I love hats. So what do we do? Combine both of them together. Voila, you have a boho chic look 🙂
First and a half look
Add a leather jacket and you have a boho grunge look. See there was a reason I called it first and a half look 😉
Second look
If you want a feminine chic look, remove the hat and the leather jacket. Also, don’t forget to give some dainty poses 😉
Third look
What if you need to head to a dinner party after all the hard work of looking boho, grunge and feminine? Wear a pair of black heels and a coat!
‘Getting a good pic’ look
Hold your hat in different angles and look all mysterious/alluring. Never fails to work 😉
‘Happy twirl’ look
Honestly, this one is for me. I had to twirl a hundred times to get this almost decent pic. (my other other attempts can most definitely be used as posters for scary movies! No kidding.. 😮 ) I love pics where women are spinning around with no care in the world. To me, it’s a representation of letting go of inhibitions and just soaking in the moment!
p.s – Don’t ask me why there are no fifty ways of wearing this dress! Did we question E.L. James when she decided to name her books fifty shades of grey? 😉 -Love, M

Haha! Totally enjoyed reading your post, Monika! Great ways to style a floral dress – you look stunning in it. I personally love dresses too and have been wearing so much of them here in the US. And you’re so on point when you talk about twirling pics – it does feel like letting go of inhibitions and just having fun! Look forward to more posts <3
Thanks alot Tivoli! You are too sweet 🙂 Dresses became a staple for me as well after coming here! The best part about them is there is an option for every type of look – casual, formal, boho .. the list goes on. Oh I plan to add many more such twirling pics in future!! They are so much fun. Glad to have made the connection! <3
Love the Look with the Hat and the dress goes so well with the tan boots and bag.
The last look with blue jacket totally changes the vibe and feel.
