Perfection steals half the joy of life. I finished this photoshoot on Sunday but had the most difficult time getting started on the write-up. I felt uninspired but more than that, scared to put out a post that wasn’t close to my idea of perfection. Yeah, I am talking about that teeny tiny obsession with being perfect that makes most of us miserable!
We have been taught since a very young age to be the best in what we do and strive to achieve the extraordinary. Whether it is the way you look, your career, your life choices, the amount of money you make, the places you travel – all of us are encouraged to be brilliant. But what is wrong with being mediocre? When did the idea of perfection become so powerful that it cripples us from actually enjoying life ? More importantly, when did life become more about perfection rather than being at peace?
I hear constantly how mediocracy is a terrible terrible thing. But you know what? It’s okay if you are not brilliant, it’s okay if you create content that is not be celebrated by everyone, it’s okay if you don’t make shit loads of money, it’s okay if you don’t top your class, it’s okay if you are not the most sought after employee, it’s okay to slow down in life and take a break. In short, IT’S OKAY TO BE ORDINARY.. Your life is not a competition and your worth is not dependent on whether you meet the expectations of the world.
So here I am, penning my thoughts that may be imperfect and a bit different from what most of us believe in.. But that doesn’t make my beliefs wrong or vice-versa. Let’s be more open and find beauty beyond the world of brilliance/extraordinary ☺️

Awesome! Life isn’t about being perfect……..
Haha..i like “stole from a friend”..but yes, I totally agree, it is the imperfection that makes you uniquely beautiful, You got that bang on in this post :* You inspire me to be quirky, let my hair down, and not be monotonous 🙂
P.S: You look beautiful, as always.

Have a good rest of your week.

Love the idea of this post. I actually feel it a lot many times when I am writing a post. Should I really post it? Then I think, it is not only about what others would like, but also about what I think and do.
Love the outfit. Black and denim are my favorite.
Have a great day dear!

Yes, its true that sometimes we get obsessed about simple things and it makes us uninspired and miserable. I thought I was the only one! Taking a pause or break really means a lot for us ladies who are always on the go. Btw looking lovely in that oufit babe. xx
