Summer ain’t over yet. The temperature reached almost 95 degrees this past weekend. My previous post was definitely an error in the system and you know, sounds just ridiculous now.🤦🏽♀️From the cozy fall outfit to looking like a ball of summer sunshine here.. Ah that’s #california life! But I still love love it.
I was so stoked about this shoot. After all I was wearing heels after centuries of donning sneakers. My hair was in a bun, something rarely seen on the blog. Overall this outfit had such a different feel from my other posts and I was like ‘Ah girl you killed it! Now where can I collect my fashion blogger of the year award?’.. This feeling lasted for exactly 30 minutes (during which I even perfected my thank you speech) before realizing.. I wore almost the same style last year too with ONLY these similarities .. 🤷♀️
Off-shoulder ✅ Heels ✅ Hair Bun ✅ Structured bag ✅ Similar wall ✅ Skinny jeans style ✅ Staring into nothingness pose ✅ ..
.. annd pooof I saw my award fading away into oblivion.. 🙄
It got me thinking about this whole shebang of ‘be different, stretch the boundaries, do something revolutionary every single time, be bigger, better, original all the time’ etc etc. Cmn we are not unicorns!! 🙄 I don’t know about you guys but I feel it’s impossible to constantly beat yourself at this game called life. Ofcourse you should work hard and give your 100% but if somedays that 100% resembles something you or someone else has already done before, it’s TOTES FINE. Or if somedays you can only give your 80% or even 20%, so be it..It doesn’t mean that you aren’t smart or talented or worthy; you can’t always be spectacularly breaking records you know. Life happens and so does the math class I am offering right now.💁🏻 Instead we can focus on being consistent and persevere. *yo wrote this word without a spell check. This girl is going places*. Ok seriously don’t put so much pressure on yourself to create a masterpiece every single time that you forget the act of creation and the joy in the process. And if you are having fun, who cares if whatever you are creating/ have created already exists. 🤷♀️ (and I mean creation in a broader sense. could be content, food, photographs, home decor, applications and a million other things)
I am being all preachy but I know that I have personally shied away from putting out content thinking that if it’s not better than my previous works then it’s just not worth doing. Over time I realize that I am more miserable NOT creating than creating something that already exists out there. And this is not just about blogging but applies to life in general.
MANTRA – Create whatever you want to – clumsily, joyfully, with love.. and don’t let the world tell you otherwise. No, you don’t need anything earth shattering to make a difference. Just the act of putting a piece of you into the world is enough!
*Math + Philosophy class? you guys are in luck 👏*
Oh btw apart from the outfit being on repeat, even the content of this post reminds me of one of the chapter’s from Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Big Magic. I absolutely love what she wrote about this topic –
Most things have been done, but they have not been done by you..
And hence I am super proud of this blogpost. I worked hard on the shoot and the content. It’s 4:00 am right now and I’ll be up for another hour adding finishing touches. I am not being boujey * oh well how could I be when I had to do another google search for the spelling. This girl is going nowhere! 🤦🏽♀️* but trying to shake you all in believing that what you create doesn’t matter much so long you are creating something that’s meaningful to you and makes your soul glow.
Drops mic and walks.. into oblivion in search of her blog award.. 🤘🏽
About the Outfit
Big bows, sunshine bag, statement earrings, badly-diy’d-hemmed pants, off shoulder.. Basically I wore all the trends of this (or was it last?) season together.. I believe in either going big or going home. 🤷♀️ I actually was super tempted to wear sneakers (again) but then it just wouldn’t feel right to use the hashtag #fashionblogger.. Just saying.
Doesn’t this outfit scream summer? Ok maybe it’s just the bag.. Yellow and sunny.
Style Tip – Don’t shy away from colors. Add pops of colors to make the outfit standout!
Now I can also call myself #styleblogger.. Earned it. 😎
Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art. – Andy Warhol
Hope you guys enjoyed reading this post. Have a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by. See ya all soon.. – Love, M ❤️

So inspiring! Need pop of color to make dull life exciting.
You look so stunning babe all dolled up and totally in love with that bow top and yellow bag of yours 💘Such an inspiring post and that’s exactly what’s happening with me for the last couple of months. My Paris & Santorini pics are loaded with piles of dust and once writing a travel post on them was a dream come true. LoL Time to get my everything together 🙈
XO,
